I've been looking into getting a bike to learn on and that is capable at the track. I'm not into biting off more than I can chew since a buddy of mine wrecked his R1 the day he got it, which just so happened to be his first day on a bike. I currently drive a honda ruckus and want to get something a bit quicker, but not another scooter. I have my M1 permit and am awaiting taking my class to get my M1 license since I'm 18.
You can skip that and answer these if you like:
Are the 2009 street legal in California?
Would you recommend this as a first street bike, but I've driven dirt bikes?
