We've had this Vespa GT200 several years now, great scooter on the larger Vespa chassis, carbureted, liquid cooling, and disc brakes. I can do feet-up donuts on the slick warehouse floor with it.
We added the "Super" seat to it, some Piaggio badges and some stickers to cover up some scratches (who the hell crashed our demo bike?? somebody here did and wont admit to it).
We also added the Leo Vince full exhaust system to it, and a sidestand kit.

Just had the pleasure of riding around this demo for a day and a half and it was a blast, sure its left brake lever is broken and there are a few scratches on the side but, man it was a blast. hell I even considered buying one of these things and I've always despised scooters! i am a changed man thanks to Mike. PS the Capo is doing great, man what a difference the 16-45T sprockets make.
If the price was right who knows... I know the ride to Houston would be long...

I rode that thing and wound up buying one. It's pretty doggone fun. I'm riding it back to Houston next week. I even have some alternate routes so I don't have to suffer I10.

True, true...I just feel kinda goofy on it especially if I'm in my gear. Besides got too many bikes as it is, need to get rid of my dads cruiser and maybe then. Another issue is these Vespa's aren't cheap. The 150, italian one,not chinese garbage, will run you over 4 grand... alot of dough for something so slow.

Glad the Capo is indeed good again now. I sort of figured if forced to ride a scooter you might like it, that was how it all started for me too!

Took only 27 years to get back on the Vespa but, it was a very pleasing experience. Like I said if I could just sell my dads cruiser and make some room... The Vespa would have a very nice home. Oh, the Capo is fantastic, did a bit more service, oil, filter and followed your recommendations. Only thing I noticed w the regular gas it "ticks" a bit more than when I use the 89 or 93. :peace:

If you think the "ticking" is detonation move back up to 89 or 93 octane. This would normally only occur at low rpm and heavy throttle settings if it were actual detonation of the fuel/air charge.
