For those of you who have Power Commanders, are they all they're cracked up to be, or just another exercise in spending money for few returns? How hard are they to install and use for noone with prior experience in this area? How accurate are the download maps and how easily are these modified? I'm riding a Tuono with the airbox derestricted and the factory chip with an Akro TI slipon and just wonder how much good the PC III will do me without a new full exhaust system?

Thanks!

they are a plug'n play system with exception to one splice-clip connection which is installed with pliers. the system installs in 30 minutes or less. i used a section of velcro the same size as the pc3 to attach it to the vertical wall opposite the tool storage. they offer a very small section of velcro. wire ties may be used as well.

down loaded maps sux for aprilia, so it is best to have a custom map made for your bike. so to just install a pc3 will do nothing for you. the installed chip will be instructing the FI on operation and not the pc3.

big gains can be had with custom mapping, and almost 4hp on a stock bike with stock exhaust.

kyle racing sells pc3 for $250 and dynos the bike as well for custom mapping for that same price. bottom line, "if your not happy with the end result; we will give a full refund!".

they are worth the $ only if you can get tem mapped for YOUR bike IMO.

I have a Tuono Racing derestricted, with a Akro slip on,and i have just fitted the PC 3 usb and to be honest it made an amazing difference i downloaded a close map for now and even that one makes the bike rev so much faster and it will tick over from just after cold so much better with the choke off which would indicate that the fuel-burn-mixture is so much better set up than before.

The fitment of it all took an hour and that was just me fannying about checking everything twice, its well documented and the connecters all fit into the oe, blocks.

Then minute you fire the bike up after fitting there is a distinct difference in noise pulses from the exhaust , and it idles so much better.

It connects right into the fuel injectors so its really doin the biz.

Yes i would reccomd it, plus you can take it off the bike when you sell ,plus change maps whenever theres a better one out from the dealers Good Luck
