Quick Question...battery

My battery is dead and i am just about to charge it up. If I leave the battery on the bike whilst charging, do I have to disconnect the other leads from the battery before connecting the charger or does it not matter.

Hi

If you are using one of the "optimate" style chargers then it will be fine still connected up. If you are using a car style charger then I would disconnect it. Not sure how the regulator / rectifier would appreciate it otherwise.

just been looking in the aprilia manual, and it says to remove the element plugs......what are they then.

they r the little yellow caps on the top of the battery, it lets the battery breath while charging, as gasses r produced!

thought they were, but thought it also better to check. whahey, thats it then start the chrage and then it'll be time to get back on it and have some fun again..mmm.......that reminds me I need some new tyres
