Aprilia Dinner Ride; Daytona Beach?

Bike week is right around the corner and some of us are planning to attend. I think an Aprilia Ride would be a great tradition to start this year; 1st Annual Bike Week Aprilia Dinner Ride! I’m sure we could get a little support from Aprilia USA and it could turn into a great event. I’m not talking about a 5-minute ride up the Atlantic Blvd. to “Hog Heaven.” I’m talking get outta town and explore a few country lanes on our way to a great meal. We gotta keep it classy when we’re riding first class Italian machines!

I’m going to Colorado in the morning for three days of skiing and two days of class (motorcycle management school.) It’s really gonna be interesting ‘cause I haven skied since I was 16 ….. that was 1959! Ha! But, I wuz really good!!!!! Ha Ha And, I’m going with a bunch of young guys from work who ski quite well. Ha Ha Ha

Anyone in Keystone this week? Watch out for the old guy in a bitchen new red snowboard jacket and terror in his eyes. Yell Hi and try to stop me!

That's a great idea but I don't think you will get any support from Aprilia USA.

Just do it on your own with other Aprilia owners. There's a good little Italian restaurant in strip mall SE of the speedway. Many times I've seen the Bostrums, Haydens, Sorensen, Montano over there eating.

Let's do it! This will be the first bike week that I'm attending and I love meeting other aprilia owners.
Only thing, if we do it I think we should all wear some kind of Aprilia clothing!;)

Make sure you take plenty of pics, I'm thinking of coming on holiday next year to attend - will have to get a quote to ship my bike over for the week! mmm costly.

I do know that little Italian place. Malcome Tunstall turned me on to that place. Anyone remember when he won the old Daytona Battle of the twins race back in the 80's? That used to be the second most important race of the weekend and when Mal (a local St. Pete privateer) won, it was great! Mal and his dad Syd are old Ducati racers and they have a nice business building and selling Ducati singles for vintage racers.

My idea of a ride, is to ride! There are a few nice roads near Daytona and with a little effort I could put together a 100 or so mile ride. We could meet early Friday afternoon, make a loop north out past Tomoka State Park (nice place to camp), then to some back roads near Ocala National Forest, and back to the Speedway area for a nice Italian meal.
