CMAN, BEANSOUP, and myself all parked out in front of Calabria Coffee Shop in San Diego getting ready to ride down to Tecate for some tacos, and Sam forgets a memory stick for his camera. Sorry, no pictures to post. But what a sight it was, a brand new Factory Mille, a silver Futura, and my silver Falco. Six cylinders of Italian goodness!
To top it all off, the counter girl winked at me! It was a great morning.
Thanks for the ride guys, next time we'll grab some more folks, and I'll remember that four tacos are better than three!

It was a good time. Froze a few body parts off on the ride back, though. I was passed by a couple of squids after we split up. I thought to myself, "they're going a bit fast for this road". About a mile up I saw them: one had gone off the cliff and there were pieces of motorcycle everywhere. He managed to climb back up but his jeans were tattered and he was bleeding from several abrasions but refused my offer to get help because he didn't want any cops involved. His friend said they'd come back with a truck later and retrieve the bike. Some days it's good to be the slow guy:)

Sam - It was good meeting up with you. We'll have to meet up in your neck of the woods next time. Those cans sound sweet!! Can't wait to be able to afford mine.

It was ALL good!! Man, those tacos were something else, huh?! Yes, 4 is always better than 3 but only if you're riding. If we drove down there, I think we could be there for at least an hour.

Bean - Yah, it was frickin' cold!! Snow on the hills and some patches of ice on the road. AND I was running outta gas. I tried to wait but I guess you were busy with the squids. So I hot foot it to I8 get to a gas station a mile away, $2.29/gal!! Fill-up and figure out I'm going the wrong way, eastbound! So I head back to where I came and figure that I'd take the 94 back since I don't want that flat spot on my tire. Freeze my ass off for about 20 miles or so, AGAIN, and finally get back to warmer weather after the Tecate turn-off. MAN, it was COLD!! Did you really see another accident?

Sure did. I wanted to use the call box to get help but the guy insisted that he could feel all his body parts so he must be OK. I tried no to hold it against him that a couple minutes before he left me about 5 inches of space as he passed...
I figured with the ice on the roadside and the high winds, someone was gonna eat it and I didn't want it to be me. Or you. Or Sam. Gotta live to eat tacos another day.
