I see the new 04 bikes are coming with peg feelers... What gives?
Did Aprilia change the position so drastically that all of a sudden stuff is dragging? I think I read somewhere that someone said they drug their kickstand? Is this for real?
I mean, my bike is a 00.5- and I've got the rear ride height all the way up, but I've had my knee against the fairing and touched a knee slider down and didn't hit my kickstand (and noooo, I wasn't turning to the right, smartass...) I was always under the impression that plastic on the belly was the first thing to touch...

I guess it didn't look enough like the RC51 with that air snout so they needed to put peg feelers on too.

I've dug the center stand into the pavement pretty good on more than one occasion.

I flog a Futura.:rambo:
I might add, on two occasions I've had a chance to ride with a large group of Milles... I wasn't the slow one, you can be sure of that.
I also ride a CBR600F3. No centerstand, but feelers are pretty worn.
Add I just picked up a cherry ZX250!

FactoryPilot and Mille-Ryan have dragged kickstands on their 04 RSV's, as has Clarkie. FactoryPilot also dragged the right side peg feeler.
BTW, how do peg feelers make a bike look like a Honda? Did Honda invent peg feelers or something? Just about all my other bikes have had them, and I've only owned one Honda.

No, it's just that the RC-51 has the twin exhaust, and these HUGE (like 3" long) peg feelers sticking off the bottom of the pegs. And I always thought it was pretty cool that the Aprilias didn't have peg feelers- like they were saying,"Don't worry about it. If you're that far over, you've crashed." Or something like that- just that all of the hard parts were out of the way... And now the peg feelers make it look like the Honda. Not that there's anything, necessarily, wrong with the Honda- it's just not an Aprilia!
