K, some observations when starting this project, the Tuono and RSVR have different offsets on the yoke and top triple, not sure why but appears to be approx 4 mm but I have not measured it as yet.

More to come as the project continues and so photos will be included.

What year Tuono and RSVR did you measure?

The 06-08 Tuono and 04-08 RSVR uses the same T-clamp offset, 35mm last I measured.

Yes that would figure, 2003 T triple clamp set, do you know why the change amauri and is the newer offset better?

Perhaps you could sell the Ohlins front setup and bag yourself a cheapish Showa setup and with the difference, send them off to a suspension specialist for some ohlins internals... then you could take your choice of risers etc...

This is my first set of yellow forks and I quite like them, they actually work ok for me which is cool.

Clamps turning out to be a problem but it is only a small glitch.

She is partially stripped now, gonna weigh the fairings etc out of interest, she looks evil with her clothes on :fangs:

would like to find an RSVR or Tuono air intake to chop up to, wouldn't matter if it was broken at the front either.

So really what you're saying is you're going for form over function... why not just go the whole hog and deck the April out in leopard skin with handy purse and makup holders... :bump:

I'll be interested to see how she turns out...

oooo, don't forget the fluffy dice...

You should double check you measurements.

I just measured the lower T-Clamps from an 03-Tuono and a 07-RSVR.
When you place one on top of the other you can see that both have the same 35mm offset.

Heya amauri, maybe the T clamp I have is earlier then, this is it.

I have the top and bottom triple set so I could use it all however I don't know what effect it would have on handling if any, being the the forks are further forward technically that would lazy the steering up and make the wheelbase only mm longer.

Will this setup work ok if I change the whole tree or should I get a later top triple clamp?

Looks like what you have is a different diameter.

The early Tuono w/Showa forks were 53mm both on top and bottom clamps.
Starting in 06, the Tuono Showa forks changed to 51mm on top and 53mm bottom.

The Ohlins are all 51 top and 56 bottom.

All Falcos, Tuonos and Milles have 35mm T-Clamp offset.

Fack, didn't even check the bottom triple and yeap 56 mm for the bottom clamp, not gonna work full stop.

K, need a 06 or newer Tuono top clamp which I think is gonna be a problem.

Thanks for your input amauri, I I lived over there I would buy you a beer.
