If i was to have 6.5 gram rollers in my ditech with a leovince zx sports exhaust(derestricted both the exhaust and scooter) roughly what will my top end(speed) be?

Cheers

hi there

A standard ditech develops max power at approx 8000 rpm, the problem is that with the standard variator and gear set, the transmission tops out ( or reaches its longest gearing ) at aprox 80 km/h or 50 mp/h, so the scooter to go any faster the engine rev go up.

The problem lies in the fact that the engine beyond 8000 rpm starts to loose power on a standard bike, those bikes fitted fitted with tuned pipes probably develop max power at apprx 8500 rpm and probably suffer from less of a power loss at higher rpm, but at the end of the day the fact is that your bike at an indicated 100 km/h or 60 mp/h is going to be reving at 9000 rpm plus. and thats is about as fast as they go in standard trim, with a tuned pipe maybe a couple mph more.

Fitting an aftermarket variator by polini or malossi will make a slight improvement maybe 5 km/h or 2-3 mph.

Which is why malossi say you have fit the longer gearing when you install the 70cc kit.

I hope this helps

but with the gameboy tuning maximum rpms get up to 11800 with the stock pipe so the real max power is somewhere between 10000 and 11000 rpmīs.

Just because the rev limit is raised, that doesn't mean those are the RPMs where maximum power is produced. If you look at dyno charts for engines, the HP curve doesn't just keep going up the faster the engine is turning. It goes up for a while, flattens out, and then goes back down. Raising the rev limiter does not change the RPM that maximum power is produced.

But in finland there is a 4,5 horsepower version with the rewlimiter and a 6,4 horsepower version without it so the maximum power has to be some where over 10000rpmīs.

Derestriction changes more than just the rev limiter, seriously. If the max power went all the way up to over 10,000, then the variator settings would be totally unusable after derestriction.

The increase in power comes from other changes in the ECU, like additional fuel flow and such.

ok, i believe you, you surely know much more then i do.

by your posts, that you can ``buildīī a kickstarter for a ditech...

yes, then he surely know more than you :D

ME I know its possible to make a kick start :

u have your ditech when it work fine :p
u put out ONLY the electrical motor who start the engine, by a manual one (home made)....

there's no point in doing that, but its a kick start ;)

(i havent understand every think about that u say before, but i wanted say that ;) )

dude, it's bullshit what your saying. you can never create the fuel pressure needed with a kickstart... if you think you can, good luck with it...

BTW, if it would be possible, don't you think aprilia would have made one?
