Much like the T7, the Dorsoduro has knocked my socks off. When I first saw the second generation Tuono, I immediately put a "first in line" deposit down at the dealer............I've done the same with the Dorsoduro.
The new Tuono debuted in Paris on 9/24/05. MaxMoto (UK Dealer) reported receiving their first batch of new Tuonos on 11/04/05. The new Tuonos ('06 in the rest of the World - '07 here) started arriving in the States in late March of '06........mine on 3/31/06.
Since both models (Tuono & Dorsoduro) are based on already exsisting platforms (RSV & Shiver), there should be similar timetables arrival-wise.
The Dorsoduro was introduced in November of 2007, but is being said to start production in February of 2008. This will add three months or so to the wait.
Add the three months to the Tuono's "debut-to-arrival-in-the-USA" timetable, and you're looking at around nine months...........July/August of 2008.
We'll have some better confirmation as Euro versions of the Dorsoduro are released to dealers. We can expect to see them Stateside three months or so later.
All this is just educated speculation on my part, but what else does a "waiter" have to do while he pines away for the object of his affection?

I asked the question at Moto International, one of the top Aprilia dealers in the US and the frustration was evident regarding the lack of information. There is no planned release of information until the Fall 2008 dealers meeting. That effectively means that the earliest possible release in the US would be for the 2009 model year. That's if they bring it to the states at all. Dream on folks!

Hey, these guys are Italian..................not Japanese! :D
There was the same lack of info concerning the arrival of the T7.............but it eventually showed up. Considering the sales of the Duc HyperMotard, Aprilia would be remiss in not countering with the Dorsoduro. It's also a "fresh" model..........something Aprilia dealers could really use in their lineup.
I'm pretty sure they will - just a matter of when.
