hi new to this forum but was hoping you could help me.
a few days ago my 1994 rs 125 was standing on a man hole cover...i turn my back to open the garage door...and down she falls :( no damage cosmetically but for some reason when the bike is in first gear and for example if i come to a junction and stop (clutch in of course :p) then it will just cut out. Now i know people might think that it will have nothing to do with it falling over but since then it started doing it and the clutch lever doesn't feel the same to pull in even though nothing is lose
any advice will be very helpful
Cheers, Dave

ok thanks. Someone i used to be mates with has a 2000 model which has a tick over knob, could i up the revs off that if the early one has something similar. Thats what im having to do at the mo, but dont really like doing it purely because i forget sometimes. Only had the bike since the 29th last month so dont really know much about it.

i think you have a 34mm carb which has a idle screw, this is the big screw with the spring. warm up your engine and turn it in until its idling happy at about 1500 - 2500

Can this be altered on the '05 modal too ? Ive only had mine since last Friday, but find every time i stop it stalls ( clutch in ). Only way ive found to stop the stalling is to constantly rev or hold the throttle at a high rev.

should be a tick over knob near the frame on one side turn that slightly when the bike is running get it to a decent rev that wont stall

Does it still go in and out of neutral ok if not then the clutch is probably dragging you can adjust it via the plastic plug/screw on the left side of engine

should idle at 1 and a qurter mate, id suggest ya masking the problem.
what side did it drop on? did the clutch lever take a smack?

OK.. Had a play last night... Got it sitting comfortably at 2k. The manual sez it should be 1250 but if left there just dies out ( within seconds of sitting idle !! ).
Took him for a blast and didnt stall once :)
Cheers guys

coming to think of it no it only goes into neutral when i turn the engine off how do i fix it? OK on the left engine cover there are two plastic screws you want the one in the middle use a big screwdriver or 10p in pliers then before you adjust the clutch arm go up to where the cable meets the lever and screwin all the way the adjuster when done find the tools you will need for adjusting the clutch arm which is in the tool kit its the flat blade screwdriver and the box spanner if you haven't got one you will have to improvise, right with tools in place loosen the locknut and screw in the adjustment screw all the way in then back it off half a turn, tighten up the locknut and replace plastic screw then back up to the handlebar adjuster and tighten it up until you have about a centimeter of play at the end of the lever that should then cure any probs if it doesnt then you need new clutch plates PHEW hope this helps :cigar:
