question re running in

The Strada has got 300 miles on the clock now so not going over 5000 RPM until first service.

I have a couple of thing that are bothering me but I am not sure if it is due to the low milage.

1. When I open the throttle quickly the engine feels like its choking and has switched of completely half a dozen of times
2. This is kind of related ... After 20-30 miles when the engines has warmed up properly the exhaust keeps popping all the time when I come off the throttle or downshift (i kinda like it though)

Am I being paranoid and this will change later, is this normal for a single or is something wrong?

The spluttering and cutting out will probably go once the CO has been reset at the first service. I think some pops and bangs are partly down to the nature of big single cylinder bikes, I think there's engough time between the cylinder firing for the exhaust to draw in air or something.

Nope, cast is off, still a bit sore but riding is easier than walking!
