Still running in the new bike.Like a lot of members i seem to have a fueling issue around the 3000 revs mark. If you hold the revs around that figure it feels hesitant and lumpy running.
Question having the first service done, has this solved the problem for other members on the forum? Has the dealer to plug it into a laptop and reset settings to cure the problem?
Thanks for the feed back.

I am currently nursing a broken leg so haven't ridden my new 07 silver peg yet, so can't help you but I am sure someone will pop along to help.
I think there are threads already on this, possible to do with adjusting the O2 setting...
Surely the first service will sort this out for you...

Sorry to hear about the broken leg, not what you need with a bike sat in the garage.
I have played about with co, but not made much difference. Just wanted to know if the dealer should have to plug-in and adjust some settings.
Just wanted to be up to speed when i drop the bike off in the next couple of weeks for it's first service.

Hi
I took my Silver '07 in for it's first service last week - it seems to be running smoother now, but there is a slight surging at 3500-4000 revs - which seems to be an 'engine characteristic', probably enhanced by Euro 3 requirements.
Appart from that, the gear box is better now, and I could feel the whole engine loosening up throughout the running-in.
Where did you get the bike? Paul Dedman's up at Ramsey?
I ask because my parents live in Ramsey, and we bought a TDM850 from there (only went in to get some ear plugs!). Paul seems quite competant, so I'm sure the bike will be looked after OK.
I bet the Peg will be fabulous on the Island's roads - especially once you get off the course. However I see you are still 'running-in' - one of the hazards of living on a small island.
Have Fun

Thanks for that Miles
Yes got the bike from Paul, have know him for quite a few years as used to make his race leathers for him.
Yes it seems to take forever to run the bike in on the Island and the bad weather has not helped.
Bikes good on the manx roads as lots of twisty bits once outside the course, but don't really burn the tarmac up, as if wanted to go fast would have bought a sports bike again. Just got the bike to go across on now and again and the odd sunny morning run out.
Keep us posted as to how you get on with your bike.
Cheers Manxie

I'm up to 1000 miles now. !st service didnt seem to make much difference to the lumps between 3 and 4 !
Weird thing is some days its fine others its awful.
I'm starting to think it me ! I find as I get more at home with the bike Im rarely holding 3k on little throttle. This morning for my 36 mile (each way ) commute it was 100% i didnt notice any surging/lumpiness at all. I did however notice more power coming in as it loosens up further !

No used to be Branded Leathers up till about 2000. Sam used to work for us before he set up Celtic Leathers. He has now move to New Zealand with family and business.
