Are the gold stickers on the front fairing (below the windscreen) under the clear coat?
I know you're supposed to be able to tell by rubbing your thumbnail over it, but I tried that with the tank and thought the stickers were above the clear coat. I removed them and had to have the tank re-coated 'cause they were under the clear coat. I think Aprilia uses a cheap, thin layer of clear coat, so I'm not trusting the thumbnail test.
The black rivets that hold the windscreen in place have managed to chew away at the gold sticker around them. I haven't messed with them, so I have no idea how this happened. I'd just assume remove the gold stickers if they're over the clear coat.
