Hey Guys -
I need some information on a bike I would like to purchase and I figured someone out there may know of where to get one or at least have some info. on one. What I am looking for is a 1985 Honda NS400R 2 stroke. I know that these bike were never imported into the US and was wondering if anyone had any information and or new of any good resources on this machine. If anyone can help me out that would be great -

Try here;
Yamaha RD Forum (http://www.yamaha-rd.com/forum/)
I realise it's not a Honda forum but I know quite a few people on there who have the NS400...
Sign up and ask some questions!!

I have heard the guys at www.tpimotorsports.com in Los Angeles can get stuff like that. I think they have some VFR400R's and other grey bikes on their web site now. You might give them a call.

Under $3k (condition looks ???), but the location is Japan. I looked into this a couple years back and this company is willing. Seemed pretty straight to deal with. Shipping was pretty cheap too, but like I said things may have changed in a couple of years.
A title for the bike depends on NY's laws. Contact isibike.com directly as they will work with you to 'smuggle' one in. More than that creates problems according to them....we wanted six bikes.
California law is somewhat easy if the bike has more than 7k miles on it (I think thats the number). Its considered 'used' and can be titled allot easier...at least that how it used to work.
Worth contacting them though to find out if they have a contact in NYC...very possible

I saw three parked side by side at the Mercedes Factory in Stuggart a couple of years back.....definitely different.
Cool bike. I rode one back in the eighties and thought it was the best handling stock bike I had ever ridden. It may still be the best but memories tend to play tricks.

There is one in NJ at my local dealer. The salesman raced it and has alot of parts for it. The dealer is Route 15 Honda/yamaha. Ask for Paul.
You can find the number through the Honda dealer page
