A high pressure pump for an injection car will cost a lot more than that. A lift pump or pump from a carb car won't deliver the pressure. That's before you start trying to fit it.

Short answer is No.

Long answer is also No you can't, no such suitable pump exists in the automotive world.

The ditech pump puts out approx 110 PSI which is required for the direct injection system, most cars and fuel injected bikes (4 stroke) use port fuel injection with a typical pressure between 30-65 PSI.

Even if you find a 12V fuel pump that can produce 110 PSI, most of those pumps are turbine or gerotor type pumps that mount submerged in fuel and have advantages over the piston pump on the ditech, but they are not very energy efficient, they draw typically 8-13 amps (the ditech pump is less than 2 amps). The charging system on the SR is too small for one of the other types of pumps.

f_maciej, there are some cheap ones on Ebay at the moment... there are usually a lot of DiTech parts in Germany and the UK... much cheaper than new.

so it's probably a false contact with the pump and not the pump itself because in general it works or not
