Hey everyone- coming to you from inside MotoCzysz headquarters. I've been a long time lurker of the site, and thought you all might like to check out this short video shot the other day in the dyno test cell.

Fantastic!!! :plus: I took a ton of pictures of the bike last year at Laguna Seca...really beautiful :worship:
I'm sure I can speak for us all when I say that we'd love to see an american bike kick some ass in MotoGP! Long time coming!!!
Good luck and good to have you with us

when is it going to race?
Is it ever going to race?
Thanks for the post! Angry Bob has been our unofficial/official reporter on the goings-on within MotoCzysz but we do appreciate the direct from the source updates. You all have been very good from the inception of your program to be on this site and even posted several lengthy threads discussing the bike - we appreciate that.
If I had the $$$, I would buy one!
Are you all considering licensing some of the technology to other OEMs? That front fork set up is really sweet!:worship:
I have a down-payment ready if you are going to be offering the 10 year loan option.

Looks interesting, what series would this bike race in since it isn't legal for Moto GP with the 990 engine?

the big question is what kind of power is it making? ;)
The lastest thing i read online was that they are planning to race in a Superbike series but there is no confirmation as to what series (AMA, WERA, BSB, WSBK etc)

A cool sound indeed.
A small Hp disadvantage can be overcome with better aero and cornering speed. We'll have to wait and see.

depends on your definition of 'small' :D
I know what the factory SBK's were pushing at the end of 06 (SS bikes were making 195+) and while I agree that better corner speed and top speed is a huge advantage over 10-15hp it it the electronics on the bikes that make the difference at the moment :bangwall:
Can you give us a hint on the power? (at the crank with ram air :D)

Well...you would think that would be the case. But it's not. Have you seen Faster? "The Hopper" was testing the fancy smancy aero's on that 500 and it didn't do shit for him, but it did great in the wind tunnels:rolleyes:

Ya. I thought it was supposed to race in MotoGP :WTF: - is there a MotoCzysz 800cc coming???

Heh - the old school racers that had to run with carbs  are throwing up with all these 'electronics' you speak of.
As for power, if the question was for me, I cannot. I was there almost a year ago, and I am absolute a lot has changed. They were waiting to start building the 'version 2' so all I saw was the original, as bad ass as it was. Michael humbly admitted that they would be at a disadvantage and were looking at other means to compensate for that. He did use the word "close" though. That was all 990cc talk though. As for 800cc's, who knows.
Some simple math:
If their current six-cylinder = 990cc's, lopping off two of those cylinders = 750cc's...pretty damn close to 800cc's if you ask me. ;)
At the time I was there, they were trying to get into SBK, WSBK, or Valencia as a wild card. SBK & WSBK seemed rather difficult at the time with all their rules. I am not sure what happened to Valencia, but it's obvious they (Dorna) are game - can you say Ilmor?
Here's hoping this year brings the racing competition that we are all waiting to see.

as far as i know (checked the website to be sure) it still is a 4-cyl... so no simple math there, which in your example was quite a bit off anyway :)
To get into SBK they need to run the required production numbers, and to get into MotoGP they need to modify the engine, and find more power. both seem very costly, so i've got my doubts on seeing them race any time soon.
Perhaps the AMA can make another 'buell-rule' to allow them to enter AMA-SBK...
Anyway, even though she's ugly as sin imo, i wish there would be more people that exploit their technical know-how like Mr. Czysz did/does. i'd buy one if i could...

Heh - a little brain fart there. You are correct. Lopping off one cylinder from the four would make the math correct. No idea where I got the six-cylinder thing from.
To clear this up, I think another visit is in order!
