Another lister, Grey Tuono, was at my restaurant tonight and I went outside to look at his bike. He had the adjustable Ohlins steering damper on the bike. He said that he picked it up at the dealer that way stock. My bike has the non-adjustable damper. Mine is serial #100 and his is #251. Was there a change made at some point in time or is his Tuono coming that way a fluke?
from the serial numbers you mention i take it you both have the Tuono R in which case you should have the full ohlins goodies, which include the steering damper. I think you should look why the ohlins is missing from you bike...

I noticed the samething!!!(not r models) I have the non-adjustable. I was back picking up some parts from the Dealer where I bought mine and I noticed the Tuono on the floor had a adjustable ohlins. Promptly asked the dealer why? Said the later bikes he got in had the adjustable Ohlins. WHAT THE HELL?? He guessed Aprilia ran out of non-adjustable and started putting on the adjustable Ohlins. Not feeling really pleased about about this!!!
HEY APRILIA I'LL TRADE YOU!!!! I WANT THE ADJUSTABLE OHLINS!
Any comments or suggestions always appreciated:confused:

Just to clarify, my Tuono is the base model, not the R version. For whatever reason, mine came from the dealership with an adjustable Ohlins steering damper. In the words of the late artist Bob Ross, I guess you could call it a "happy accident". BTW if anybody on the forum happens to be in the Newburgh, NY area and you want great bbq food, you should stop at bbq chef's place - Barnstormer's on Rt. 17K

I July I saw a standard Tuono in a dealer that had the OHLINS.
Of course, when I bought mine Tuono a month later it had the generic damper!
Hey where's this BBQ place?
