why do you need a steering dampner, you go in a straight line to about a 1/4 mile, its not gonna make tht much difference surely
if your really after one, why not get a cagiva front end?

would be handy for our sprint any way because with it being on the coast it is mostly coverd by the sea wall untill you get to the end where the sea wall finishes and you get huge gusts of wind blowing you around on a tiny light weight bike and as you go over the line you go into a corner that dips down then back up and the bike becomes really light whilst your trying to brake.

I think thats the stuipest thing you could of said: As shown on the website there are steering dampers available for the RS125 and why would you want to buy new forks/yokes/wheel/caliper/spindle just to get a steering damper which is mounted to the frame anyway(as far as I know for the mito)

the damper for a rs125 is fitted by tapping a hole in the left hand side of the frame and then you fit the damper by screwing one end into the frame ( welding recommended) the other end is fitted to the left hand fork with a bracket.
they were on ebay for a while ago the seller was no good (twostroketeamltd) and i won one for 30 quid but the seller never shipped it, i got my money back with the promise of a free one, i never saw it.
if you want to mod to hell and back go for it, if i had the cash i would.

what make was that one?, matris offer a yoke mounted one and this one appears to be yoke mounted too.

rs125, Weighing in at about 100kg. It does not need a damper. Even stock they dont need them also just rev the tits out of it and force it to stop from tank slapping. I do, but hey thats me

35kg is a lot. Go and find something that weighs that amount and imagining the bike being that much lighter. That's a lot of stuff you need to shift.

well a link http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99512. Keeza has done a lot more to his bike and has a lot more weight reduction products. Will that do.

I'd be suprised if it weight 5kg less that stock, the JL exhaust probably makes the biggest difference.

Lol love it, gixerboy on 125cc was trying to shave off 20kg's and this involved making custom aluminium subframes and titanium and aluminium bolts everywhere and shaving off anything not needed.
35kgs is asking a bit much lol

lol ummm cuz there are 1000 not fair away from the RS125 weight. The RSVR 2004 is 185kg. With a 1000cc engine. The Honda CBR 1000RR is about 160lb. I couldn't find it KG
priller
12-18-2006, 06:10 PM
Thats still 65kg more than the dry weight of a rs125, sv650 is 40kg more than a rs125. 65kg is alot more.
With a 1000cc engine
Its got bigger holes in the engine though :)
