November 7, 2005 - AF1 Racing / Apriliaforum.com is becoming an Aprilia Dealer! We are moving January 1st 2006 to our new 18,000 sq/ft facility in New Braunfels Texas, just off Interstate 35 between Austin and San Antonio. We will have 2500 sq/ft of dedicated showroom for Aprilia motorcycles and scooters, 2500 sq/ft for Aprilia parts and accessories, and 3500sq/ft for Aprilia service. The remainder of space is for offices, indoor storage, and indoor parking. We are cutting our hours back for the transition to Monday - Thursday 10am - 4pm CST. These hours are temporary, we will return to regular hours beginning in 2006.
November 7, 2005 - AF1 Racing / Apriliaforum.com racer Jon Francis finished out the CMRA racing season with a 2nd place finish for the season. Jon was leading the final race, which would have won the season, however a nasty high-side on the final lap red flagged the race and put Jon back to 2nd place for the season.
August 30, 2005 - AF1 Racing / Apriliaforum.com racer Jon Francis has positioned the team in 1st place for the Heavyweight Twins season championship in CMRA. With two races to go in the season and a small points lead the championship is going to come down to the final race of the season, the CMRA/USPGRU crossover event at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas.
June 27, 2005 - AF1 Racing / Apriliaforum.com brings home the 3rd win in a row aboard the 2004 Aprilia RSVR. This win edges rider Jon Francis up to within striking distance of first place in the CMRA Heavyweight Twins class. With 4 races to go in the season, the season championship is going to come down to the wire.
AF1 Racing would like to extend a special thanks to Jim Cambora of Raceworx for the excellent suspension tuning work he did this last weekend, and at every event. Jim's site is www.RaceworxUSA.com.

June 09, 2005 - Aprilia racers Jon Francis and Bill Erzal top the podium in the latest round of the CMRA races this past weekend at The Motorsport Ranch. Jon Francis of AF1 Racing took the lead at the entrance of the first corner of the race and never looked back. Even though Ronnie Lunsford’s Ducati 999R had a slight power advantage on the straights Jon used the superior chassis of his RSV-R to increase his gap at every corner. Bill Erzal of Mototek Racing came back from injuries suffered in a practice crash back in late April to round out the podium. Bill made a great race of it by working his way through the pack. Because he missed the race in April he did not have a favorable grid position.
May 15 , 2005 - The 2005 Aprilia RSVR and RSVR Factory have hit stateside. Both models receive new graphics, with the RSVR also receiving Radial Mount front brakes on new Showa fork bottoms. Bikes are in limited supply, with many dealers only getting a couple for this year. If you are considering a new Aprilia motorcycle, now is the time to act, as these bikes won't stay on the dealer's floor for long. Check out Aprilia USA for all the specs and photos.

“The return to grassroots support and backing production racing is a key
part of our 2005 plans,” says Aprilia USA General Manager Tom McDonald. “The
club racer represents the heart of our company, and is certainly the best spokesman
for the quality and design of our products. We know this program will encourage
racers to consider an Aprilia for the 2005 racing season.”
Technical details such as on-board lap-counters, adjustable shift lights, Brembo
brakes with steel-braided lines, fully-adjustable suspension, rigid frame,
included steering dampers, a slipper clutch and smooth power delivery make
the RSV family of motorcycles the perfect trackside companion, and a fantastic
value for the track enthusiast. The aftermarket has also stepped up in recent
years to provide specific race parts for the RSV series from bodywork, to sprockets
and performance parts, making the transition from street bike to race bike
easier than ever.
An emphasis is placed on club champions from the top local and national club
series. “The level of competition in the US club scene is always impressive,” says
Michael Orr, Marketing Director for Aprilia USA. “For years racers have
seen our bikes as the perfect tool for the track. Our motorcycles were born
and developed from a tradition of competition, and we are happy to aid those
who see the virtues of our motorcycles.”
In conjunction with the contingency program for 2005, is the Racer Purchase
Program announced earlier this year. Racers purchasing new 2004 (incentive
only on 2004 model RSVR and RSVR Factory) motorcycles save $4500 on RSV R and
$6,000 off the MSRP of the Factory when the machine is prepped and raced in
any club series. Combine this program with the 2005 contingency program, and
the fastest racers will almost have a free motorcycle. Tuono models are excluded
from this promotion.
Aprilia USA has bracketed the racing season with two of the most aggressive
programs for European motorcycle products. Racing is in our DNA, and winning
is our tradition.
